Emma was the daughter of a dear friend and a little girl who passed away at the age of three due to a virus. Though her life was brief, her impact was profound. While I never had the chance to meet Emma myself, she has always been remembered, celebrated, and honored by the community around her—through birthdays marked in pink, symbols of love sent heavenward, and a shared commitment to never letting her story fade.

When JAE Jewelry was first taking shape, something unexpected happened. As designs came together, certain elements kept appearing—pink tones, hearts, and angel wings. Pink had never been a favorite color—in fact, it once would have been avoided entirely. But this felt different. For months, there was a steady presence during the creative process—encouraging, guiding, and gently steering the collection forward. What many describe as a passing feeling became something consistent and unmistakable. There was a voice, a calm assurance, a sense of companionship. It was Emma.

Out of deep respect, it was important that Emma’s Line never be about profiting from tragedy—especially the loss of a child. For a long time, that is why the story remained private. Many have asked about the name Emma’s Line, and until now, it felt important to let the collection exist quietly, without explanation. But as time has passed, and as Emma would have reached milestones of her own, it felt right to share the real reason behind the name—to celebrate her life honestly, lovingly, and with the same intention that guided the collection from the beginning.

The name Emmaline was chosen intentionally, carrying her spirit forward while honoring her gently and beautifully. Emma’s Line launched just months after her birthday, marking not an ending, but a continuation. Last week would have been Emma’s 18th birthday—a reminder that even a life lived briefly can shape a community, inspire creativity, and leave love in its wake.

Emma’s Line will always be a celebrated collection within JAE Jewelry. Each year, new pieces will be added intentionally and thoughtfully, honoring Emma’s memory and the quiet guidance that helped bring this collection to life.
